Revenue Operations and Growth Manager

Own the systems, data, automation, and experiments behind CityScout's revenue engine. This role is for a high-ownership operator who can improve a working commercial system, connect activity to outcomes, and use AI and MCP-enabled tools to make the entire team more effective.

Full-timeRemoteExperienced individual contributor, with scope based on demonstrated ability

About CityScout

CityScout turns fragmented government records into real estate development intelligence. Our customers include architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, developers, lenders, and other businesses that need to identify projects and relationships before opportunities are widely known.

We give those customers a connected view of development activity, the firms involved, the people behind those firms, and the signals that indicate when a project may be ready for action. Our team is remote-first and relies on clear ownership, documented systems, and intentional collaboration.

The role

CityScout already has a working product, market data, customer segments, messaging, CRM infrastructure, and core sales process. The Revenue Operations and Growth Manager will own and improve the system that connects those pieces.

This role sits across sales, marketing, product, data, and operations. You will improve lead flow, segmentation, campaign execution, CRM quality, automation, reporting, and the handoffs that move an account from initial signal to customer. You will identify where the system loses time or information, then fix the underlying workflow.

You should be comfortable using AI agents and MCP-enabled systems every day. You may build automations, connect internal tools, analyze funnel performance, create structured account research, improve data enrichment, write precise product requests, or use an agent to prepare a safe code contribution.

Conventional software-engineering experience is not required. Technical curiosity, strong systems thinking, and the ability to inspect and verify agent-assisted work are required.

What you will do

  • Own CRM structure, lifecycle stages, lead routing, data standards, and reporting
  • Maintain a trustworthy view of pipeline, conversion, sales velocity, and forecast health
  • Improve how accounts are segmented, prioritized, enriched, and assigned
  • Build and operate repeatable outbound, inbound, event, and re-engagement workflows
  • Connect customer and market signals to timely commercial action
  • Design automations that reduce manual research, follow-up, data entry, and internal handoff work
  • Use AI agents and MCP-enabled tools to connect research, CRM, communications, documents, and internal systems safely
  • Establish clear definitions for funnel stages, qualified opportunities, attribution, and experiment results
  • Partner with sales to improve sequences, meeting preparation, follow-up, and pipeline discipline
  • Partner with product and engineering to turn recurring commercial friction into system improvements
  • Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria for internal tools and integrations
  • Build lightweight tools or submit agent-assisted PRs when that is the fastest responsible solution
  • Document the revenue operating system so it remains usable as the team grows

What strong performance looks like

  • The revenue team can trust the CRM, dashboards, and next steps.
  • High-value accounts receive timely, relevant action.
  • Fewer opportunities are lost to weak handoffs or missing information.
  • Experiments have clear hypotheses, measurement, and conclusions.
  • Repeated manual tasks become reliable systems.
  • Salespeople spend more time with qualified customers and less time assembling information.
  • Customer and pipeline evidence reaches product and leadership in a useful form.
  • Your work improves revenue output without creating unnecessary process.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in revenue operations, growth operations, sales operations, lifecycle operations, or a closely related role
  • Strong systems thinking and comfort working across functional boundaries
  • Fluency with CRM structure, funnel metrics, workflow design, and data quality
  • Ability to turn an unclear operational problem into a durable process
  • Strong written communication and documentation habits
  • High ownership and consistent follow-through in a remote-first environment
  • Fluency with AI tools for research, analysis, drafting, and automation
  • Comfort with MCP-enabled systems, APIs, connected tools, or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Ability to review AI output critically and protect sensitive customer information
  • Curiosity about software, data, customers, and how revenue systems actually work

Helpful experience

  • SaaS, data, intelligence, or workflow products
  • CRM administration, revenue analytics, attribution, or forecasting
  • Sales automation, enrichment systems, lifecycle campaigns, or account scoring
  • SQL, APIs, no-code tools, coding agents, or MCP servers
  • Writing product specifications, acceptance criteria, or small code contributions
  • Architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, or other relationship-driven industries

How we evaluate candidates

The practical assessment uses a representative funnel dataset, a CRM map, and a description of CityScout's current sales process. You will identify the most important failure points and prepare:

  • A concise diagnosis of the current system
  • A prioritized 30-day improvement plan
  • A proposed reporting and measurement framework
  • One automation or MCP-enabled workflow that removes repeated work or improves data quality
  • The requirements for one internal tool, integration, or process change

We evaluate systems thinking, prioritization, data judgment, practical use of AI, clarity of communication, and the ability to improve an existing system without adding needless complexity.

Output and working hours

CityScout evaluates contribution through useful, reliable output and customer or company impact. We do not use visible activity or time online as substitutes for results. The work can move quickly, and important deadlines or production issues sometimes require additional effort. Our standing expectation is clear ownership, sound judgment, strong communication, and work that holds up in practice.

Leverage and accountability

CityScout expects people to build leverage into their work through software, automation, AI agents, MCP-enabled systems, better data, and reusable processes. The person directing a system remains accountable for accuracy, security, judgment, and the final result.

Remote-first work

CityScout is a remote-first company. Team members are expected to manage their responsibilities, communicate progress and risks, document important decisions, and collaborate effectively across locations. Each role states any required collaboration windows, location restrictions, or travel expectations separately.
